The Neighbourhood Watch movement began in the UK over twenty years ago.
Its success in reducing crime by local residents co-operating with the police has meant that it has spread widely and grown to be the largest voluntary organisation in the UK.
There are over 10 million members in England and Wales alone.
It is well established in many parts of Nuneaton and Bedworth with a structure comprising local street schemes, beat area groupings and a Borough-wide association.
The Nuneaton and Bedworth Neighbourhood Watch Assocation aims to promote and suport Neighbourhood Watch in the Borough of Nuneaton and Bedworth.
It is formed by representatives of local area associations where they exist and local co-ordinators who are seeking to establish them where they do not yet exist.
NBNWA represents its members at county level with links to the West Midlands Region and National levels.
If you are thinking of starting up a scheme in your locality it can help by giving you guidance and information, or if you are already a co-ordinator and would like to share your experiences and learn from others,
